The journey to Africa.
After we were allowed to accompany our little Kami Céline in her first weeks of life, we are exploring foreign people and cultures again. Morocco is our destination. It’s turtle time again. In very small steps and with our home on our backs, we head south. This time with two vehicles. Max has got himself a girlfriend. Hildegard.
A dream of a young lady who, after the first little challenges, is doing very well in the field. Tall, slim, and an exceptional chassis. A “Grand Dame”. Together to Auxerre in France and Arkachon. The hot springs in the Spanish Western Pyrenees made our trip as unique as the drive through the Bardena Reales desert. Fantastic night camps with magnificent views sweeten our dinner for 4. I was very skeptical about all-wheel drive and automatic. After the first tours through rough terrain, I have to admit to a certain “chapeau feeling”. If you want to go to Africa you should book with Carlos. For one Franklin you ship to Tangier-Med.
Hello Morocco, we are here. We arrive in the late afternoon and spend the night at a farmer’s house on the beach. At the foot of the Reef mountains the heavy earthquake hits us as well. Max wobbles so much that I thought someone was going to unscrew the wheels from our car. At this point we would like to express our sympathy for the Moroccan people. For everything else, we now let the pictures speak.
