North Cape
And the fog is canceling our plan.
We arrived and had a brief moment of sight.
We made sure to look inside the entire complex.
The fees allow you to park for 24 hours. So we spend the whole next day up there. Yes, in a thick fog soup. In the evening we drive down to the coast in the thick fog, feeling depressed.
On the morning of August 4, 2020, a bit of light penetrated the thick fog. As I lie in Max, I run through the scenario in my mind as to whether I have to move to make coffee. I’ve tried it. I do not have to.
Totally frustrated by the fog, I check the weather data again. I say to Petra … shit ….. get up immediately! Today at noon the fog will rise. We want to run the little thing to the true end.
After two thirds of the way there, the insidiousness of the two gnomes from the Cape Hall comes towards us. Fooooooog. I freaked out. I looked at Petra’s face and saw that she agreed with me. ! The two can bug off! We’re moving on to the end of Europe.
So we navigate along the beach, through the thick fog, and meet others who have retreated. Our mood is actually 5 feet under. But as the saying goes! We were there no matter what the weather was.
You can already see what happened next in the book.

Bliss
Oh yes, the little walk was almost 18 km through the area.
Believe us, we slept very well.
